Tanagh Outdoor Education Centre is situated on the border of Counties Monaghan and Cavan, at the heart of the Dromore Water System, adjoining Dartrey Forest. The Centre is 70 miles (112kms) from both Dublin and Belfast.

The original building served as residence for the land-steward of nearby Dartrey estate, then it became a seminary, after that an army barracks and now it is a busy modern outdoor pursuits and education Centre....

This is a small lough beside Creeslough village. It used to hold an excellent stock of brown trout averaging 10 oz, with fish to 2km, but stocks have been greatly depleted in recent years by greedy and uncaring anglers. If you do catch fish, I suggest you return them safely to the water to conserve stocks. Useful fly patterns are Golden Olive, Wicham's Fancy, Black Pennell, Butcher and Connemara Black. Bank fishing only and about 25 per cent of the shoreline is fishable. Permission....

Clones is now an 18 hole course and was offically opened by Barry McGuigan in August 2002. It's an 18 hole course and Dr. Arthur Spring has done magnificent job for us in carving out a new nine and varied holes from a challenging terrain.

Clones is unique for an inland course in that it is built on the limestone belt and as such is in play all year round. We have a relatively small membership so societies can be catered for every day except Sundays which are devoted exclusively to the...
